Romanshorn-Rundweg

This circular hike in the glorious landscape beside Lake Constance leads through shaded woodlands, vibrant fields alive with colours and along the shore of the lake, making for an unforgettable experience in the great outdoors. Historical buildings, charming harbours and magnificent views make this journey complete.

From Romanshorn railway station, the circular walk initially leads out of the town. Before long, the Dorfbach stream accompanies the route through meadows and open farmland. The ascent remains gentle; near Bööl, after around three kilometres, the highest point has already been reached at about 440 m. Nearby, the Uttwiler Weiher lies a little off the route.

The route continues to Uttwil, passing the Reformed church and, a little later, the Uttwiler Stübli. Shortly afterwards, it reaches the shore of Lake Constance. After the tranquil stream, the open expanse of the lake now dominates the scenery. The route leaves the shore again and leads via Riedern and Holzenstein through meadows and between scattered houses back towards Romanshorn. A few short sections run outside the marked hiking trail network.

At Inselihafen, the route once again comes right alongside the lake. Through Romanshorn, it passes the Alte Kirche and Schloss Romanshorn before the ten-kilometre circuit ends back at the railway station after just over two hours.
