01/ Overview
The route
A short themed trail through the open Jura landscape near Séprais: first gently downhill, then across meadows back to the hilltop by the village.
The themed trail starts at the Séprais stop in the small Jura village of Séprais near Boécourt. The route soon leaves the houses behind and leads mainly through open countryside. Marked hiking trails play hardly any part. The wooded Tramont remains to the side of the route and is not climbed.
At first, the route descends gently, reaching its lowest point at around 520 m after just over two kilometres. The elevation profile then reverses: the circuit climbs back towards Séprais across meadows and pastures, gaining just over 100 metres in total. Shortly before the end, the route reaches its highest point at around 610 m. After almost five kilometres and just over an hour, the circuit ends back in Séprais; the Séprais, bas du village stop is around 200 m from the finish.

What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
