01/ Overview
The route
This route promises lovely panoramic views entailing little altitude difference and minimal effort. Starting at 1915 m a. s. l., the high-level trail leads from Heidbüel to Tgantieni. You will enjoy a magnificent view of the Heid lake and the valley.
From the Heidbüel stop, the mountain trail, marked white-red-white, heads towards Alp Stätz. Open meadows and pastures soon dominate the landscape. Rather than beginning with a long climb from the valley, the route starts at altitude and then continues to ascend at a gentle, steady pace. It crosses broad slopes towards the highest point, reached roughly halfway along the route at just under 2,100 m.
The elevation profile then turns distinctly downhill. The mountain trail descends across open alpine pastures to Alp Nova, passing directly by a refreshment stop. Towards the end, the terrain becomes gentler, and a yellow-marked hiking trail takes over for the final stage. After around six kilometres and just over two hours, the hike ends in Lenzerheide at Tgantieni; the stop of the same name is only a few steps from the end of the route. With around 300 metres of ascent and 480 metres of descent, the hike is short, but the long mountain-trail section still requires sure-footedness.

Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
There may be snow on this hiking trail. Bring appropriate gear and plan accordingly.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
