01/ Overview
The route
The cross-country ski trail in Flond is the longest in the Obersaxen Mundaun municipality. Across meadows and through short, lightly wooded sections it describes several loops in the direction of Valata before it returns to Flond.
From the Flond, vitg bus stop, it is just over 200 m to the start of the trail on the edge of Flond. The seven-kilometre circuit soon heads out across open meadows and pastures. Gently undulating, it accumulates around 160 metres of ascent in total without ever straying far from the village.
The trail climbs gradually until roughly the halfway point. At around 1,160 m, it reaches its highest point near Hitzeggerkopf before descending again in a wide arc. The Chapel of St. Anna lies just under 200 m off the circuit. Towards the end, the houses of Flond draw closer once more; after just under two hours, the trail finishes back at the starting point, a little over 200 m from the Flond, vitg bus stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Cross-country skiing is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
