Across meadows and pastures, it is a leisurely climb to the entrance of the Suld Valley. Then the mountain path, which becomes increasingly narrower, goes up along roaring streams and waterfalls to the Renggli Pass. Over the intensively exploited alps, you descend to the remote mountain village of Saxeten.

From the Aeschi b. Spiez, Post bus stop, the route initially leads through Aeschi bei Spiez. Beyond the last houses, the landscape is dominated by meadows and pastures, interspersed with sections of forest as the trail climbs steadily. The first section follows a yellow-waymarked hiking trail; the total ascent amounts to around 1'200 metres.

After just under three hours, the terrain becomes rockier. The Pochtenfall viewpoint offers a view of the waterfall; shortly afterwards, the white-red-white-waymarked mountain path begins to climb more steeply. Higher up, open slopes alternate with rocky sections as the Rengglipass draws closer. At around 1'880 m, the pass marks the highest point of the hike after about four and a half hours.

Beyond the pass, the long descent towards Saxeten begins. The mountain path quickly loses altitude across open slopes before re-entering the forest lower down. Towards the end, the trail becomes gentler, passes Skpintli and reaches the houses of Saxeten. The destination is the Saxeten, Schulhaus bus stop.
