Along the western tip of Lake Geneva, this stage, with views of the lake and Alps, leads through villages with French flair to the cosmopolitan city of Geneva. The area has been inhabited for thousands of years. With the European headquarters of the UN, you pass a place where history is made today.

The 17-kilometre hike begins in Coppet, some distance from the nearest public transport stop. The closest stop, Commugny, centre, is around 400 metres away. From the church in Commugny, the yellow-waymarked hiking trail continues through Tannay and Mies. In between, open meadows provide a break from the dense settlement. Later, the route follows the Canal de Versoix for just over a kilometre, followed by a short section along the Versoix.

Passing through Genthod, Bellevue and Chambésy, the trail approaches the city with gentle ascents and descents. Near Pregny, the route reaches its highest point at around 450 m. The Château de Pregny lies a little off the route. Towards the end, the trail descends to Lake Geneva. It now runs directly along the lakeshore and the Rade de Genève before the final steps lead into urban Geneva. After a little over four hours, the hike ends near Genève-Cornavin railway station.
