01/ Overview
The route
Woodland, open pastures and a ridge define this themed trail dedicated to the earth spirits. From Soulce, the route climbs to near Sur la Chèvre before returning to the village on partly unmarked paths.
The themed trail dedicated to the earth spirits begins in Soulce, just under 100 m from the «Soulce, milieu du village» bus stop. The route leaves the village on a yellow-marked hiking trail and climbs into the forest. Just over two hours should be allowed for the route’s seven and a half kilometres and 360 metres of ascent.
After the first section, the route continues for some distance away from the marked hiking trail network. It climbs steadily between trees and open meadows; careful navigation is required here. The highest point, near Sur la Chèvre, lies at around 930 m. Beyond this, open pastures increasingly replace the forest.
The return route descends gradually towards the village. The bus stop for the return journey is around 400 m from the end point. Finally, the route arrives back in Soulce.

Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
