01/ Overview
The route
A short themed trail in the Jura between meadows and woodland: the circular route climbs towards Jolimont, later follows Le Miéry and returns to Undervelier.
Starting at the Undervelier, poste bus stop, the short themed trail passes through the village before soon emerging onto open meadows and pastures. The yellow-marked hiking trail climbs towards Jolimont and, after just over a kilometre, reaches its highest point at around 640 m. Along the way, the Balade éther explores its theme, the Sanctuaire élémentaire of Haute Sorne.
The route then descends into the forest. The Grotte de Sainte-Colombe, a rock shelter north-west of Undervelier, lies around 250 m off the route and is therefore not passed directly. In the final third, the trail follows Le Miéry for a short stretch. Here, the route leaves the marked hiking network before the first houses of Undervelier come into view. After a total of around three and a half kilometres, the circular walk ends back at the Undervelier, poste bus stop.

Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
