01/ Overview
The route
Magnificent views across Lake Zurich and the Ricken all the way to Pilatus await Tobogganists at Atzmännig. This should be enjoyed first – because the downhill ride gets quite twisty, leading through forests, across meadows and over a few rollers.
The descent begins at the Atzmännig upper station at just under 1,200 m, only a few steps from the Atzmännig (Bergstation) stop. From here, the sledging trail runs downhill for around two kilometres. Open slopes dominate the landscape; the views remain expansive as the route rapidly loses altitude. With a total descent of around 380 metres, the run is short but marked by a considerable difference in elevation.
In the lower section, the ride continues downhill through open terrain. Only immediately before the finish does the route level out at around 835 m. The Atzmännig Lodge is nearby, but just over 100 m away from the sledging trail. After just under half an hour, the ride ends at the Atzmännig valley station. From the end point, it is again only around 50 m to the Atzmännig Schutt (Talstation) stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
Sledding is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
