01/ Overview
The route
On the sunny side of Wildhaus the Alp Gamplüt is located with breath-taking views to the Churfirsten. Up to the mountain it goes comfortably with the first solar cableway, down the slope then again fast with a “Schneetrotti”, sledge or bob.
The descent begins at Gamplüt station, just a few steps from the actual starting point. At around 1,350 m, this is also the highest point on the route. The toboggan run heads downhill from the outset, dropping a total of around 280 metres over four kilometres. Open meadows and pastures characterise the upper and middle sections. The exposed setting reveals the wide landscape around Wildhaus as the route gradually approaches the valley and the first houses.
In the lower section, the village becomes the dominant feature. Slightly off the route is a photo spot with views of the seven Churfirsten peaks; the toboggan run itself continues into the built-up area. There it passes directly by the Catholic Church of St Bartholomew. After just under an hour, the descent ends in Wildhaus. The Wildhaus (Talstation Gamplüt) stop is just a few steps from the finish.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
Sledding is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
