01/ Overview
The route
Short themed trail in the Jura from Les Breuleux across open pastures and through woodland. Near Les Envers, the route reaches its highest point at just over 1,100 m.
The Boucle Sud, a themed trail in the canton of Jura, begins directly at Les Breuleux railway station. The route initially leads out of the village and descends gently. Meadows and pastures soon open up; between scattered houses, the trail climbs at a steady pace towards the Jura heights.
By Les Envers, most of the ascent has been completed. Shortly afterwards, the roughly five-kilometre route reaches its highest point at just over 1,100 m. The first section largely follows marked hiking trails, while the second half runs outside the marked hiking network for an extended stretch. Open terrain now alternates with woodland.
On the descent, the Boucle Sud turns back towards lower ground. Petit Crêt is not climbed, but remains just over 100 metres away in the woods towards the end. There is no public transport connection directly at the finish; the Les Breuleux, est stop is around 600 metres away. After about an hour and a half, the route ends at Les Ravières.

Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
