01/ Overview
The route
A hike on the Franches-Montagnes plateau, alternating between ridges, wooded pastures, traditional hamlets and magnificent views of the Jura mountains. The wind turbines of Le Peuchapatte and Mont-Crosin in the background will spice up your hike.
The roughly ten-kilometre hike begins directly at Les Breuleux railway station. The yellow-marked trail soon leaves the village behind and climbs through open meadows and pastures. Stretches of woodland break up the broad landscape, lending the first section a peaceful interplay of light and shade. After about a third of the route, the highest point is reached near Petit Crêt at around 1'180 m.
The route then descends gradually through open terrain, woodland and small settlements. Passing Le Creux des Biches, it continues to Le Peupéquignot, where the Auberge Du Peu-Péquignot lies just a few steps off the route. The final section continues towards Le Noirmont, with houses and roads increasingly shaping the scenery. After just over two and a half hours, the hike ends near Le Noirmont railway station.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
