01/ Overview
The route
This tour over the Dreibündenstein connects the regions of Chur and Lenzerheide for snowshoe hikers. Great vistas and an optional downhill run experience make them a real insider tip.
The eight-kilometre snowshoe tour begins at the Brambrüesch stop. The route initially climbs across open slopes, quickly leaving Brambrüesch behind. The long ascent continues around the Spundisköpfe. In total, the route gains around 680 metres in elevation over a walking time of just over five hours.
Around halfway along, the tour reaches its highest point near Furggabüel at approximately 2,170 m. Shortly afterwards, the Dreibündenstein lies directly on the route. This elevation is not a summit in the true sense: the site gained significance as the only tripoint of the former Free State of the Three Leagues. Broad, open terrain continues to define the landscape all around.
From the Dreibündenstein, the route descends towards the valley, with a few short counter-ascents. The descent to Pradaschier totals around 540 metres. Towards the end, the first buildings draw closer. The snowshoe tour ends at the Alp Pradaschier stop, beside the Pradaschier mountain restaurant.
