01/ Overview
The route
A few minutes to go up the mountain on the cable car to then go directly downhill at a racing speed: the ride from Chur’s home mountain, the Brambrüesch, to Känzeli leads through the forests and the Alps with a fantastic view of Schanfigg-Arosa.
It is just under 200 m from the Brambrüesch stop to the start of the toboggan run. The descent begins at around 1,590 m, at the route’s highest point above Chur. After just a few metres, it passes the Battagliahütte. Meadows and open terrain initially shape the surroundings as the route leaves Brambrüesch behind.
The toboggan run then enters the forest, which characterises the lower part of the descent. Among the trees, the route continues to lose elevation as it heads towards Känzeli. Over a distance of around four kilometres, it descends a good 400 metres in total; just under an hour is allowed for the run. At around 1,180 m, the toboggan run ends in Chur, Känzeli. From there, it is only a few steps to the Känzeli (Chur) stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
