01/ Overview
The route
High above the roofs of Arosa, this short sledging trail leads first rather flat, then swiftly back to Lake Obersee. It’s the perfect trail for anyone who wants to go sledging time after time again.
The short descent begins at the Arosa, Prätschli bus stop at just under 1'900 m. Without a long approach, the sledging trail winds through the high-lying Prätschli and past the Burestübli. The houses then recede as the route heads swiftly downhill across open terrain, with views of the slopes surrounding Arosa. Over the course of just one kilometre, it descends around 160 metres.
Towards the end, the forest draws closer, increasingly enclosing the open terrain. The descent remains short and direct; after around fifteen minutes, the destination in the built-up area of Arosa is reached. The sledging trail ends at Arosa, Obersee, close to the bus stop of the same name. Obersee, situated at 1'734 m, lies slightly off the route and is not reached directly. Public transport is only a few steps from the end point.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
