Fideriser-Heuberge-Schlittelweg

The ski area is small and generally offers good snow conditions throughout the season. The sledding trails are among the best: It is with 11 kilometers one of the longest sledding runs in Switzerland.

The toboggan descent from Fideriser Heuberge begins at the Fideris, Heuberg Arflina stop. Berghaus Arflina stands right at the start. At around 2,000 m, this is also the highest point on the route; Bocktschingel is the nearest summit.

Initially, the route descends across open terrain. Farther down, forest increasingly replaces the open slopes. Over eleven kilometres, around 1,100 metres of elevation separate the start and finish; just under two and a half hours are allowed for the descent. The transition from open terrain to forest defines the long route down into the valley.

Towards the end, the first houses of Fideris come into view. Shortly before the finish, the route passes the Reformed church, which is protected as a cantonal monument and was last renovated in 1977. A little farther on, the Bad Wirtschaft stands beside the route. The toboggan descent ends in the village; from there, it is just under 100 m to the Fideris, alte Sägerei stop.
