01/ Overview
The route
The Chapf loop is the easier trail in the cross-country ski area of Arventritt. It does not have large ascents, but nevertheless offers a fantastic view.
From the Arvenbüel, Arven bus stop, it is only a few steps to the start of the trail in Arvenbüel. The roughly two-kilometre circuit initially crosses open terrain, climbing gently along the way. With only around 60 metres of ascent, the profile remains even; just under an hour should be allowed for the full loop.
Around halfway, the trail reaches its highest point near Raaberg at approximately 1,300 m. It then gradually loses elevation and skirts the forest on a broad curve before the terrain opens up again. The Chapf viewpoint is nearby, but the route does not lead directly to it.
The final section returns to the houses of Arvenbüel via a short counter-climb. The route finishes back at the starting point; the Arvenbüel, Arven bus stop is around 150 m away.
