01/ Overview

The route

Here there is gorgeous hiking through the beautiful Le Val Terbi area where you will experience wonderful nature - meadows, forests, canyons and pastures. This is a really nice walk, with attractive points: a forest hut (built in wood), a working taxidermist, UNESCO protected frescoes in a church.

The starting point is just a few steps from the Vicques, poste bus stop. At the church of Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, the route leaves the village and climbs into the forest on a hiking trail marked in yellow throughout. Winding between trees and open meadows, the route ascends around 560 metres in total and reaches the houses of Tiergarten after a little over five kilometres.

The route continues to Vermes with a steady succession of climbs and descents. It passes close to the church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, turns back towards the wooded heights and continues to the highest point near the Forêt du Droit at around 770 m. The route then descends between patches of forest, meadows and pastures to Corban. After passing the Restaurant La Croix Fédérale, it is only a few more steps to the village centre; the Corban, place du 23 juin bus stop is located right by the finish.

03/ Conditions

Current conditions

What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.

  • How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.

  • How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.

  • How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
