Chemin Tignousa–Hôtel Weisshorn

This hike on the edge of the ski area passes through our solar system: the Trail of Planets leads to the historic Hotel Weisshorn, considered the pearl of Val d'Anniviers. On the way: breathtaking views of the valley floor and the 4,000-metre peaks of Valais.

The winter hike begins directly at the Tignousa stop. Initially, the circular route descends gently across open terrain, reaching its lowest point at around 2,140 m after just under two kilometres. The elevation profile then reverses as the trail climbs across broad slopes. The surroundings are characterised by open expanses, interspersed with occasional sections of woodland. Over the eleven kilometres, the route gains a total of around 380 metres in elevation.

Around halfway, the route reaches its highest point at 2,365 m; the nearest summit is the Bec de Nava. The entire circuit remains above 2,100 m. From here, the trail descends again. Longer, gentle descents alternate with short counter-climbs before the winter hike returns to the area around Tignousa. After a little over three and a half hours, the circuit ends directly at the Tignousa stop.
