Panoramaweg Unterbäch–Eischoll

The perfectly groomed winter hiking trail leads from Brandalp above Unterbäch all the way to Striigge near Eischoll – an easy walk with fantastic views of the peaks in the Rhone Valley.

From the Brand (Unterbäch) stop, located right by the starting point, the winter hike leads through the houses of Brandalp. At Finele and Ta, the terrain initially remains open. The route climbs gently, soon leaving the small settlements behind.

The Meiggerwald then draws closer. Alternating between woodland and open terrain, the trail continues to gain elevation without any long, steep climbs. After around half of the six-kilometre route, the highest point is reached at approximately 1,800 m. A little over two hours should be allowed for the entire route.

From there, the route descends towards Eischoll. Open terrain and woodland alternate once more as the descent gradually becomes more pronounced. Towards the end, the final metres lead down to Striggen, the lowest point of the hike at around 1,550 m. The Striggen stop is just under 70 metres from the finish.
