Descente en luge Robella Val-de-Travers

On the far side of the Chasseron in the Neuchâtel Jura and after an easy chairlift ride, you’ll find a challenging run that criss-crosses the Alpine pastures of La Robella, passes through forests and ends in the village of Buttes.

The sledging trail begins at the upper station of the La Robella chairlift, just a few steps from the stop of the same name. At around 1'220 m, this is also the highest point on the route, not far from the Roches Blanches. The starting point is by the houses of La Petite-Robella. From there, the four-kilometre descent begins, initially heading downhill through the forest.

Farther down, stretches of woodland alternate with open slopes. Over the course of the descent, the route loses around 440 metres in elevation. Where the trees recede, the terrain opens out; between these sections, the sledging trail passes through denser woodland once again. Just under an hour is allowed for the descent. Towards the end, the route approaches Buttes and reaches its lowest point at around 780 m. The finish is at the Buttes (télésiège) stop, just a few steps from the actual end point.
