01/ Overview
The route
Illuminated nighttime cross-country ski trail in the valley below Filisur, the last Engadin village in the Albula valley. This easy circular route with gentle ups and downs lies between Rözenwald and the Albula.
The start of the short cross-country ski trail is just under 300 m from the Filisur, Schöntal stop. It forms an almost level circuit across the open terrain near Filisur. The first section loses only a few metres in elevation, with the village houses remaining close by.
After the lowest point at around 980 m, the route climbs gently again. The circuit, which is around one kilometre long in total, has about 20 metres of elevation gain and hardly any extended climbs. Shortly before the end, it reaches its highest point at just under 1,000 m, then returns to the starting point in Filisur.
