01/ Overview
The route
The snow-sure secret trip even in the spring: The cross-country ski trail on Hasler Hochmoor lures with an impressive landscape – from the Gryden to the stretch to Albristhorn and Spillgerte.
Near the Leiterli mountain station, the four-kilometre trail sets off on its circuit of Betelberg. The actual groomed track begins just under 300 m from the station. At first, it descends gently across open terrain. The undulating landscape sets the rhythm until the lowest point of the circuit is reached after about half the distance. Along the way, expanses of moorland characterise the broad upland plateau.
The trail then turns uphill again, regaining the lost elevation in a long, steady climb. In total, the ascent and descent each amount to around 120 metres. The highest point is reached after around 3 km at just under 1,900 m. A little off to the side rises the 2,001 m Leiterli, the highest point on Betelberg. Across the open slopes, the circuit closes after a good hour back at the starting point of Lenk, Leiterli; from there, it is just under 300 m to the mountain station.
