Iffigfall Trail

Lenkersee, Iffigbach and, as climax, the Iffigfall – water is the trump card on this snowshoe hike. From Lenk, the trail goes in the direction of the frozen natural phenomenon under the eyes of the mighty Wildstrubel.

From the Lenk, Tennisplatz bus stop, the snowshoe route initially leads out of the village. Crossing open terrain, the circuit descends gently along the valley before gradually gaining height between meadows and woodland. Over a total distance of eleven kilometres, around 360 metres of ascent must be tackled; just under five hours should be allowed for the full circuit.

In the second half of the ascent, the valley begins to narrow. Around halfway along, the route reaches its highest point at approximately 1,280 m; the nearest summit is the Oberlaubhore. It then follows the Iffigbach for a good stretch. The descent passes through more open terrain again and later between sections of woodland, heading back towards Lenk.

Towards the end, the Lenkerseeli lies directly beside the route. From the shore, the final section leads into the village of Lenk and back to the Tennisplatz bus stop.
