01/ Overview
The route
This route sets off through an inhabited area, then climbs to ever steeper, ever more isolated heights. This easily accessible trail winds upwards towards Hohliebe before continuing in a leisurely manner through the snowy Alpine and wooded landscape. The course of this route gives you a choice between a shorter or longer version.
The starting point in Bode is just a few steps from the Adelboden, Mudi bus stop. From there, the four-kilometre snowshoe trail sets off on its circuit of a good two and a half hours. It initially leaves the houses behind and climbs steadily uphill across open slopes. The ascent totals around 340 metres; the highest point comes early in the circuit, at just over 1,600 m.
The trail then descends again in a wide arc. Meadows and pastures continue to shape the scenery as the route turns back towards Bode without any major detours. In the final third, it passes Hohliebestübli, which lies directly on the route. From there, the circuit continues downhill to the first houses of Adelboden and ends back in Bode; the Adelboden, Mudi bus stop is around 130 metres away.
