01/ Overview
The route
A short, almost level cross-country skiing loop across the open meadows of Grafenort. Groomed for both classic and skating techniques, the trail sweeps in a broad arc to the Heilig Kreuz chapel and back to the village.
The start of the trail is just a few steps from Grafenort railway station. The short loop heads out across open meadows on the edge of the village and remains almost level throughout. Whether skiing classic or skating, the route initially climbs gently. After around one kilometre, it reaches its highest point at just under 590 m; there are no significant climbs anywhere on the loop.
The trail then turns in a broad arc back towards Grafenort. The track remains in the open fields as the houses gradually draw closer again. Shortly before the finish, it passes the Heilig Kreuz chapel, which stands just a few metres from the loop. A little later, the loop of just over two kilometres closes at its starting point in Grafenort. The railway station is around 40 m away.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
