Nationalpark-Panoramaweg, Stage 3/7

The trail follows the Clemgia river through rugged Val S-charl and all the way to the protected God da Tamangur stone pine forest. It passes small, charming mountain lakes, attractive rock formations, rare Alpine flora, and mountain chalets built of rubble stone. The views far across Val Müstair are amazing.

The approximately 18 km mountain hike begins at the S-charl bus stop. The white-red-white waymarked trail leads up the valley across open meadows and, after the first ascent, reaches God Tamangur. The route climbs steadily between forest and pastures, with a total elevation gain of around 900 metres.

Beyond the forest, the terrain opens up again. The mountain trail ascends to Pass da Costainas, which links the Lower Engadine with Val Müstair. This is where the Clemgia has its source. The route then continues across broad slopes with numerous ascents and descents. Near Minschuns, it reaches its highest point at around 2,300 m.

The final section runs partly through forest and descends gradually to the Ofenpass. After just over five hours, the hike ends in Süsom Givè. Hotel Süsom Givè is located close to the trail, while the Süsom Givè (Passhöhe) bus stop is just under 100 m from the destination.
