01/ Overview
The route
The panorama trail «Senda Val Müstair» goes from the Ofenpass to Lü. The varied hike goes past the idyllic mountain tarn Lai da Juata and gives wonderful views of the mountain peaks in the Ortler range.
The hike begins at the Süsom Givè bus stop at the top of the Ofenpass, at 2,149 m. The white-red-white waymarked mountain trail leaves the pass road and climbs gradually across open slopes. Sections of woodland provide variety before the route reaches its highest point at around 2,260 m, roughly halfway along. It lies not far from Minschuns.
From here, the route is mostly downhill. The trail once again passes through open pastures and woodland, following the Aua da Laider for a while. Rather than making a long descent into the valley, the route remains at altitude throughout; even so, there are around 520 metres of descent in total. Towards the end, Lü comes into view. In the village, the trail passes the listed Reformed church and ends shortly afterwards near the Lü, cumün bus stop. Just over two and a half hours should be allowed for the approximately ten-kilometre hike.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
