01/ Overview
The route
This panoramic trail has earned its name. From the Feldis highlands, the view of the majestic Piz Beverin, Tödi and Calanda group is simply divine. The gently undulating route goes past a small lake and a natural ice field and around the Tgom Aulta.
The winter hike begins at the Mutta stop, high above Feldis. The circuit crosses open terrain, initially gaining height at a leisurely pace. Below Tgom'Aulta, it reaches its highest point after just under two kilometres, at around 2,000 metres. Rather than long climbs, the five-kilometre route is characterised by gentle undulations.
The route then descends across broad pastures to Alp dil Plaun. The alp provides a brief focal point in the otherwise open landscape. In the final third, the circuit climbs gently once more before sweeping back to Mutta in a wide arc. After a good hour and a half, the winter hike ends back at the stop.
