Parcours Le Noirmont–Les Bois

A magnificent path through the Franches-Montagnes between the villages of Le Noirmont and Les Bois. It’s a discovery of the region's marvellous nature. It is composed of pasturelands, pine tree forests and inviting and typically named hamlets, home to the former houses of artisan watchmakers.

From the Le Noirmont stop, the snowshoe trail sets off through the village. The houses are soon left behind, giving way to open meadows and pastures. The route climbs gently and, after around two kilometres, reaches Peu-Péquignot, passing close to the Auberge Du Peu-Péquignot.

The route then continues in gentle undulations across the broad plateau. Around halfway, the Auberge les Chatons stands directly beside the trail. The route continues through open countryside to the Restaurant La Légende and, shortly afterwards, to the houses of Le Boéchet.

Beyond the hamlet comes the longest ascent. Near Mont Soleil, the trail reaches its highest point at around 1,080 m. The route then descends again via Le Cerneux-au-Maire, with pastures and scattered houses heralding the approach to the village. After around nine kilometres and a good three and a half hours, the snowshoe tour ends directly at Les Bois railway station.
