01/ Overview
The route
Les Paccots: never has the mountain been closer! The topography of the location is ideal, with its gently undulating pastures. With four kilometres of runs through the pastures, the run is surrounded by the summits of the Dent de Lys and the Teysachaux.
The four-kilometre cross-country ski trail starts at La Cuva above Les Paccots. The trailhead is away from public transport; the nearest stop, Les Paccots, Les Rosalys, is just over a kilometre away. From the start, the loop initially crosses open terrain, gently losing elevation along the way.
Around the halfway point, it reaches its lowest point amid alternating woodland and wet meadows. The trail then climbs again. Shortly before La Cuva, it reaches its highest point at around 1'290 m; from there, the trail leads directly back to the starting point.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Cross-country skiing is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
