01/ Overview
The route
The Engadine Classic: the toboggan run from Prui to Ftan passes mainly through the forest and offers delightful views of the Lower Engadine Dolomites, villages and the Tarasp castle.
The three-kilometre descent begins at the Prui stop at just under 2'100 m, near Prümaran Prui. The highest point comes right at the start, with Muot da l'Hom nearby. From here, the sledging run leads downhill across open slopes. Open terrain characterises the upper section, and the overall descent of around 400 vertical metres is noticeable from the outset.
Further down, the forest draws closer. Alternating between open stretches and trees, the descent continues towards Ftan, steadily losing altitude. After around 40 minutes, the first houses come into view. The sledging run ends at Ftan Fionas at just under 1'700 m, only a few steps from the stop of the same name. Beyond the finishing point, the village continues further down into the valley.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Sledding is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
