01/ Overview
The route
Audio stories, glacial stones and sweeping views accompany the short ascent from Beromünster to the transmission tower on Blosenberg.
From Beromünster bus station, the Radio Trail initially leads through the historic centre and past the collegiate church of St. Michael. At the touch of a button, seven audio stations each play three stories. Historic recordings recount the story of the Beromünster national radio transmitter, while information panels provide additional insights into nature, geology and cultural history. The destination is some distance from public transport, with the nearest stop, Gunzwil, Chommle, around 1½ kilometres away.
Beyond the houses, the path climbs through meadows and open farmland. Erratic boulders and glacial stones recall the area’s geological past, while a viewing telescope draws the eye towards the distant landscape. The route climbs steadily via Huebe and Erlose; shortly before Blosenberg, a short section leaves the marked hiking trail network.
After around three kilometres, the ascent ends at the transmission tower on Blosenberg. At approximately 800 m, this is also the highest point of the route. There is a public barbecue site by the tower.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
