01/ Overview
The route
A broad loop through the Jura’s fields, meadows and forests: starting in Bure, this themed trail leads gently uphill and downhill to Les voisins before returning to the village, partly outside the waymarked hiking-trail network.
The approximately 17 km circular hike through the gently rolling landscape of the canton of Jura begins at the Bure, Mairie bus stop. Right from the start, the trail passes the Église Saint-Amand and leaves the houses of Bure behind. It climbs gradually across meadows and fields to the highest point at around 630 m.
The route then continues with gentle ascents and descents. Open farmland characterises much of the route, interspersed with stretches of forest. Along the way, the route leads to the Les voisins station, which also features in the official name. Most of the hike follows marked trails, although longer sections lie outside the waymarked hiking-trail network.
After around four hours, the broad loop closes back in Bure. The route passes through the first houses and returns to the Bure, Mairie bus stop.

How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
