01/ Overview
The route
Quiet hike through snow-covered forests, past old, idyllic huts with a cosy stop at the «Roggi's Baizli».
The snowshoe tour begins in Parsonz, some distance from public transport; the nearest stop, Parsonz, vischnanca, is around 350 m away. From the houses, the route climbs steadily across open slopes. Over the four kilometres, a total ascent of around 340 metres must be tackled, with the climb shaping the first part of the route.
About halfway round, the route reaches its highest point at Crap Farreras, at just over 1,700 m. Almost immediately, it passes Roggi's Baizli tar Flurina. The circuit then turns downhill and heads increasingly into the forest. Between trees and open areas, it loses elevation again at a steady rate. Towards the end, the houses of Parsonz draw closer, while the church of Son Niclo remains slightly off the route. After just over two hours, the snowshoe trail leads back to Parsonz.
