01/ Overview
The route
Across woodland and meadows to Sytiberg, down to the covered Aenderbergbrügg and back to Bönigen along the Lütschine: a short circular hike with a barbecue area and scenic views.
From the Bönigen See bus stop, it is only a few steps to the tourist office, where this circular hike of just over five and a half kilometres begins. The route leads through Bönigen into Oberdorf, then climbs between meadows and woodland. At Oberallmi, a barbecue area provides a pleasant place to rest, with views across the open surroundings. Shortly afterwards, the route reaches its highest point at around 710 m.
At Sytiberg, the hiking trail continues through the forest and gradually descends into the valley. After the descent, the route crosses the Aenderbergbrügg, a covered wooden bridge. It then follows the Lütschine, initially along a short section outside the marked hiking trail network, before rejoining the hiking trail.
Before reaching the first houses of Bönigen, the route passes the Wirtshaus zum Bären. It continues through the village back to the lake and the tourist office; the Bönigen See bus stop is right next to it.

Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
