01/ Overview
The route
The Jubilee Trail around Willisau links town and countryside: chapels, stream banks, meadows and woodland line this loop of just over three hours, which reaches its highest point near Salberig.
From Zehntenplatz in Willisau, the Jubilee Trail initially passes through residential areas to the Schlossfeld sports facilities. The route soon reaches St. Niklaus Chapel, built by the Habsburgs. It then leaves the town behind and follows the Seewag for a short stretch; the Galgen-Chäppeli stands at the edge of the woods.
The trail continues to climb between meadows, pastures and woodland. A short section follows the Way of St James, before the route later leads to Gütsch with its striking white cross and through Willbrigwald. Near Salberig, it reaches its highest point at around 675 m. Several sections lie outside the marked hiking trail network.
The return route descends to Käppelimatt. There, an oversized wine bottle signals the Flaschenmuseum. Towards the end, a narrow footpath follows the Mülibächli back to the houses of Willisau. After around three hours and a little over eleven kilometres, the loop ends back at Zehntenplatz, near the bus stop of the same name.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
