01/ Overview
The route
Over 3 km of sledge fun at the bottom of Titlis: A historic sledge run awaits thrill seekers who enjoy whizzing down from Gerschnialp to Engelberg.
It is only a few steps from the Gerschnialp stop to the start of the toboggan run. At around 1,270 m, this is also its highest point. The three-kilometre descent begins across open meadows and drops around 260 metres on the way to Engelberg. Open terrain characterises the start of the fast-paced ride into the valley. The views initially remain expansive before the route enters the forest.
Between the trees, the toboggan run continues downhill and approaches the first houses of Engelberg. Towards the end, Eugenisee lies slightly off the route; the run does not lead to its shore, but instead heads directly towards the valley station. After around 40 minutes, the descent ends at the Titlis Bahn valley station. The Engelberg, Talstation Kabinenbahn stop is only a few steps from the finish.
