01/ Overview
The route
A short snowshoe circuit along the Schonbach, across the broad Marbacher Boden and up to the highest point near LĂĽtscherligĂĽtsch.
The Marbachegg, Talstation bus stop is just a few steps from the starting point in the village of Marbach. Around one and a half hours should be allowed for the snowshoe circuit, which is just under four kilometres long. At Hotel Sporting, the trail leaves the houses behind and follows the Schonbach to Lauibrügg. It then crosses open terrain to Sidenmoos, where a former sugar refinery recalls the site’s earlier use. Above the broad Marbacher Boden, views open up across the wintry landscape.
The trail now climbs steadily. Near LĂĽtscherligĂĽtsch, it reaches its highest point at around 1'040 m before descending again. The route leads back towards the village through meadows and pastures, with the Marbacher Boden ahead. Shortly before the end, the Ranch-Beizli lies close to the route. A little later, the valley station of the Sportbahnen Marbachegg and the village of Marbach are reached once more.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
