The route
Immerse yourself in the UNESCO World Heritage TectonicArena Sardona: The Alpine snowshoe tour goes round the upper Segnesboden, framed by the Grisons mountains. At the Tschenghel dil Gori rest area, views open up towards Lumnezia, Flims, the Stätzerhorn and Rothorn.
Starting point is Flims, Cassons; the Cassons stop is about 30 m away. The short snowshoe tour measures roughly 4 km and takes just over two hours, with about 200 m of ascent. First the route leads over wide, open areas and increasingly rocky terrain uphill until reaching the area at the foot of the Atlas at about 2,497 m.
The terrain remains barren and stony; in the distance the Segnas-Wasserfall can be seen, lying some 320 m to the side. On the return, the same slopes are followed back to Flims, Cassons, where the circuit ends.
