01/ Overview
The route
Recharge your batteries away from the hustle and bustle of winter. On the Plattis snowshoe trail, you can enjoy the tranquillity of the snow-covered mountains with magnificent panoramic views of the Spitzmeilen area. The easy snowshoe hike is ideal for beginners.
The snowshoe tour starts at Alp Panüöl, close to the Panüöl stop. The circuit initially leads gently downhill across open terrain before beginning a steady ascent. Houses and woodland are soon left largely behind, with broad slopes dominating the landscape. Over the three-kilometre route, there is ample time to settle into the tranquil rhythm of this short circuit.
In the second half, the route climbs more noticeably and reaches its highest point near Ziger at around 1,870 m. The view extends across the open expanses of Flumserberg as the route gradually curves around. It then descends gently in a wide arc back to the alp. After around one hour and twenty minutes, the snowshoe tour ends back in Panüöl, just a few steps from the nearby stop.
