01/ Overview
The route
A short fishing-themed trail leads from the Birs through Soyhières and over gently rising terrain to the Étang de la Réselle.
The short fishing-themed trail begins near the Soyhières, place de la Liberté stop. It initially follows the Birs before passing between the houses of Soyhières. At the Église Saint-Étienne, the route passes directly by the church. Beyond the village, open meadows alternate with woodland as the trail climbs gently.
Covering just over two kilometres and taking around 40 minutes, the route leads to the Étang de la Réselle. In its final quarter, it leaves the marked hiking trail network and reaches its highest point by the pond at around 460 m. The destination is some distance from public transport: the nearest stop, Soyhières, Rue de la Réselle, is around 1.3 km away. The fishing trail ends right by the waters of the Étang de la Réselle.
