01/ Overview
The route
This circular track in the "Ferien- und Sportregion Ybrig" demands stamina and technique and is a delight for seasoned cross-country skiers. Those following a tough training regime can use the extra loop to get their heart pumping.
From the Studen SZ, Dörfli bus stop, it is only a few steps to the start of the circular trail near Studen. Close to the Nordic Hus, it sets off across open terrain and leads out of the village. Rather than long, flat straights, the first half is characterised by gentle climbs and short descents, with around 190 metres of elevation gain in total.
After about six kilometres, the trail reaches its highest point at around 975 m. It then turns back towards Studen, losing elevation again over a series of undulations. Towards the end, the houses of the village draw closer. The trail passes the parish church and returns to the starting point after eleven kilometres. The full circuit takes just under three hours; the Studen SZ, Dörfli bus stop is also only a few steps away.

How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Cross-country skiing is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
