From Saxeten, you climb through the forest and later take a rocky path over two alps, up to the Tschingel mountain basin. This crosses a sloping mountain path. Past the Lobhornhüttli, steep and stony forest paths run down to Sulwald and over another steep step to Isenfluh.

This 13-kilometre traverse, with around 1,100 metres of ascent and descent, requires stamina. From the Saxeten, Schulhaus bus stop, the route first passes through the village and briefly follows the Saxetbach. The long climb begins beyond Innerfeld. The broad hiking trail soon becomes a mountain path, steadily gaining elevation through alternating forest and open pasture.

Around halfway along, the route reaches its highest point near Schärihubel at just over 2,050 m. The mountain path then crosses open terrain towards Sulsseewli, which lies around 100 metres off the route. A little farther on, the Suls-Lobhornhütte stands directly beside the path at 1,955 m. It belongs to the Lauterbrunnen Section of the Swiss Alpine Club.

From the hut, the route descends to the Sulsbach and continues to Sulwald. At the Sulwald-Stübli, the longer descent through wooded slopes begins. Finally, the mountain path becomes an easy hiking trail leading into Isenfluh. The destination is only a few steps from the Isenfluh (Luftseilbahn) stop.
