01/ Overview
The route
Across the heights of Aargau towards Hallwilersee: meadows, woodland and sweeping views define the route before the Hombergturm provides a final highlight ahead of Beinwil am See.
From Schöftland railway station, the trail initially leads through the village and past the Reformed church. A short detour leads to the late-Gothic Schloss Schöftland. The route then climbs across meadows and through woodland to the Böhler Pass, which links the Suhrental with the Wynental.
Beyond the pass, open heights, stretches of woodland and villages alternate. Gontenschwil offers an opportunity for a rest before the trail begins to climb again. It continues via the Titlisblick viewpoint to the highest point near Homberg, at just under 800 m. Views of the lake and mountains accompany this scenic section.
A little further on stands the Hombergturm on the Hochwacht; the tower can be climbed. A longer descent then leads through the forest to the first houses of Beinwil am See. Hallwilersee comes into view as the route passes the Reformed village church and ends at Beinwil am See railway station.

Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
