Alpine Panorama Trail, Stage 15/29

The route leads through the heart of the Emmental via a long mountain crest with scattered farmsteads and varying views down into the wide valley of the Grosse Emme, then on up to the equally scenic Moosegg.

From the Lüderenalp bus stop, the route follows yellow-marked hiking trails almost throughout. After only a short ascent, it reaches its highest point near Rislauhoger at around 1,200 m. From there, open meadows and pastures define the landscape, interspersed time and again with shady stretches of woodland. The trail remains easy but demands stamina with its constant ups and downs.

The route gradually descends along the long ridges to Emmenmatt, where the lowest section of the hike lies at just over 640 m. After crossing the valley floor, the trail climbs again: passing the small settlements of Längenbach and Blasen, it once more gains altitude and alternates between farmland and forest. Towards the end, the route leads via Moosbadhöhle to Moosegg. After 16 kilometres and just under five hours, the hike ends directly at the Moosegg, Hotel bus stop.
