01/ Overview
The route
Relaxing cross-country experience in the Urschner valley floor: in winter, the Andermatt golf course is converted into a trail that is suited to any level thanks to its gentle slope. Alongside a stunning panoramic view, the trail also provides the opportunity to improve your own cross-country technique on an integrated themed trail.
The short trail begins at the Nordic House in Andermatt; the bus stop of the same name is just a few steps away. From the start, the circuit heads out across open terrain. The profile remains almost level throughout: over four kilometres, the ascents and descents each total around 20 metres.
After an initial flat curve, the trail passes close to the Club House before continuing on its broad loop. Wide, open spaces define the landscape, with no significant climbs. The lowest point, at just under 1,430 m, comes within the first quarter of the circuit. From there, the trail rises almost imperceptibly.
After around three kilometres, the highest point is reached at approximately 1,435 m. From there, the trail leads gently downhill back to Andermatt. After just under an hour, the circuit ends where it began at the Nordic House, not far from the Andermatt, The Nordic House bus stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Cross-country skiing is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
