01/ Overview
The route
Short woodland circuit from Stockhütte with views of Lake Lucerne, a detour to the Stock viewpoint and a gentle ascent to just under 1'400 m.
The short circular trail starts at the Stockhütte mountain station, conveniently reached by cableway. Initially, the hiking trail crosses open meadows and passes Alpgädeli. Views open up across Lake Lucerne, with Schattigenstock in the surrounding landscape.
The route then enters the forest and climbs on a mountain trail. Around halfway, it reaches its highest point at approximately 1'400 m near Heitliberg. Shortly afterwards, the Stock viewpoint lies directly beside the trail. Between the trees and in open sections, there are further views of the lake and the surrounding slopes.
The descent continues through the forest before the first houses reappear near Stockhütte. After just under two kilometres and almost an hour, the circuit ends back at the Stockhütte mountain station.
