01/ Overview
The route
Snowshoeing through nature's hushed stillness, under firs laden with fresh snow, in Brüsti near the Chulm mountains. The icing on the cake: a beautiful view stretching far down the Urner Reuss valley.
The snowshoe circuit begins directly at the Brüsti stop. Berggasthaus Brüsti is right at the start, before the route climbs across open terrain. After around one kilometre, the highest point is reached at just under 1,640 m. Chräienhöreli lies nearby, but the circuit does not lead to its summit.
The snowshoe trail then descends gradually into the forest. Waldnachter-Seeli lies around 300 metres off the route. The trail continues between the trees, descending to just under 1,490 m before climbing again. Open expanses and stretches of forest characterise the landscape along the way.
On the final section, the route returns to open terrain and, after a total of four kilometres, reaches Brüsti. Around two and a half hours should be allowed for the full circuit and its 300 metres of ascent. The route ends back at the mountain inn, just a few steps from the Brüsti stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
Snowshoeing is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
