01/ Overview
The route
Family-friendly sledding fun at the foot of the Grosser Mythen in Alpthal: after the T-bar lift has brought you to the start, you glide through the conifer forest and then over the open terrain back to Brunni. With you the whole way is a view of the impressive Grosser Mythen massif.
The short sledging run begins at the top station of the Brunni ski lift at around 1,200 m. From the highest point, the route descends across open terrain. Covering just one kilometre, it drops around 100 vertical metres; the ride takes just under a quarter of an hour.
The houses of Brunni soon draw closer. The run passes the Brunni Lodge restaurant before entering a wooded section. Over a short distance, the route shifts from the open slope to the trees on the edge of the village. Between the forest and the settlement, the descent continues to around 1,100 m. After the final few metres, the sledging run ends at the bottom station of the Brunni ski lift. The Brunni SZ, Talstation LBH bus stop is just over 100 metres from the end point.
